Progress is getting interesting now. Made the decision NOT to try Aztecing just yet. Instead, took some White Pearl and randomly painted the engraved panelling. I like how it turned out.

All Primed and ready AND rookie mistake using light grey primer for a WHITE ship. Then to turn around and paint her white again. BUT it did actually cause an unintended effect that I kinda dig for this- Makes some of the panel lines (that most detest) pop a little

Star Trekkin’ Sundays – TOS Constitution Class model kit

This is my Constitution class Starship model. There are many like it but this one is mine!

This is the AMT A1:650 Scale Classic USS Enterprise NCC-1701 50th Anniversary Model Kit by AMT.

Just completed yesterday, my USS Tolkien, NCC-1892. A birthday present from my amazing Wife, this was a fun build. A little frustrating at times as its not the greatest kit. Essentially this is a re-issue of the original AMT 1:650 scale model kit. I last built one over 25 years ago when i was in the Marine Corps. This version – new display stand, and far more decals to make it more accurate.

I tried my hand at using filler for the seams, which are bad on this one. AND customized the name and registry (obviously 🙂 ) Overall, I am pleased with how she turned out. Better than i was expecting. It has some issues, due to my lack of skill…but it was still fun.

Kit Builder – Bandai Action Base – quick and easy

2020 I hope to be a year of building, and we are kicking things off with a quick and simple kit – the Bandai Action Base for 1/144th scale kits. These are used quite regularly with Mobile Suit Gundam 1/144th scale suit kits.

I know, kinda simple, but i did want to start small and work my way up for something more complicated…like what you see in the box behind the finished build…that’s what’s coming on the horizon 🙂
